Sorry to disappoint, but this is not some kind of elaborate April Fools prank. Nope, you read right: Underground Issue 9 is out, and it’s just bursting at the seams with prose and poetry for your hot little hands. We’ve had an incredible number of submissions this issue, and we’re proud to say that this is our biggest issue yet. Our featured author this issue is Jacob Edwards, for his work “Close Encounters”.
Jacob Edwards graduated from the University of Queensland with a BA (English) and an MA (Ancient History). When not immersed in (or struggling against) the poignant moments of everyday life, he stacks deckchairs for Andromeda Spaceways (www.andromedaspaceways.com) and indeed currently is editing #55 of their Inflight Magazine. Jacob lives in Brisbane with his wife and son, and may be found online at www.jacobedwards.id.au
So sit yourself down and download a copy. Print copies will be out around Perth next week, so keep an eye out. Until then, any questions or queries can be directed our way. I promise we’ll reply in a speedy manner, or we’ll at least try to. No, you know what, that’s not good enough. We’ll definitely reply in a speedy manner. You have my word. Also, submissions for Issue 10? Consider them officially open.
Thanks again folks. Underground’s been a blast thus far, and it’s all because of you.
So, to recap:
